Samsung Series 3 Chromebox Reveals Its Features!

Samsung has made a good team with Chromebooks and delivered on the market the new Samsung Series 3 Chromebox. This cute fellow has all the chances to get the first position in a Top 5 Cool Gadgets due to its great original features ( low-power, high connectivity hardware).

In addition to these ones, it also completes its looks with a single power button, a headphone jack, a pair of USB ports, a DVI port, Ethernet port, two Display Link ports and a power jack. Huh. Lots of stuff right?

All these are completed by the dual-core Celeron processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of solid state storage which will make this gadget work like a charm.

The total price: $200 or $300. We don’t know yet for sure, but we do hope for more information soon!

September is here, so some of us have already began to think about Christmas and gifts ideas. Since we don’t want to break the tradition, we would like to present a cool and fresh laptop which is going to be the star of the season.

Of course, you have to have at least one parent working for the Royal house, to afford giving such a present (it is not even in your benefit). But the price hasn’t been announced yet, so we keep our fingers crossed.

Series 9, signed by Samsung has just been aesthetically upgraded. The features remain almost the same, but its design received hundreds of hand applied crystals and 2 new colors: “Moonlight Blue,” (navy blue) and “Luxury Rose Gold,” (champagne).

Not to tacky, but stylish and elegant!

Chromebook – Google Chrome OS on Acer and Samsung

During the Google I/0 2011 conference, there was an announcement made about the Chromebook operating system. This term basically describes all notebooks that support the Chrome operating system. The two manufacturers featured are Acer and Samsung, announced by Sundar Pichai.

The Chromebook wants to reinvent and redesign the whole PC experience while solely focusing on the web features, by bringing the perks of phones and tablets. It concentrates on improving security, portability and access. And because we know how frustrated we all get when we start-up our PC systems and wait light-years till everything is ready, the Chromebook will boot in 8 seconds.

Samsung Series 5, the first “lab rat” has a 12.1 inch display, dual core Intel Atom processor, all day battery usage and it is available in 2 colors. The version for WiFi costs $429 and the one for 3G can be bought at the price of $499. The Acer Chromebook has a 11.6 inch display, dual core Intel Atom processor, 6 hours of battery usage and its pricing starts at $349.

Both of the Chromebooks are coming out on June 15th at Amazon.com and Best Buy online (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and soon in Netherlands too).

I would say that it’s pretty odd. The concept below is equipped with a 14 ” AMOLED screen type and external panel was removed. It can see things that crawl behind the screen. We can not currently talk about the practical side of this technology.

Samsung starts the production of 3D TV

It was natural that, after Sony has promised it will film football World Cup this year with 3D technology and 3D Avatar made waves around the world, to witness the exponential growth of the segment’s 3D LCD TVs. So the people at Samsung, always thirsty for marketing records, are the first, they say, starting the production of 3D TV.

Initially, Sony will produce three types of TVs: 40, 46 and 55 inches. All three versions will be based 3D technology assets Glass, the current standard in the field.

Surely, Sony will be the only manufacturer that will take 3D TV segment. It will be followed closely by other sharks.

Most of the Samsung not talked price yet. It is clear however that 3D TVs are not very cheap, at least initially. If you appear on the market for World Cup, 3D TV manufacturers, including Samsung, will officially come to head up the crisis.

Samsung to Produce Six Panel Types Using ‘3D Active Glasses’ Technology

The company began producing LED and LCD compatible panels for 40-inch, 46-inch and 55-inch full-HD 3D TVs using ‘3D Active Glasses’ this month, employing Samsung’s exclusive true 240Hz technology.
Samsung’s true 240Hz technology delivers full-HD viewing in 2D, and also smooth, natural, full-HD 3D images that can vividly capture rapid movements.
By incorporating true 240Hz technology, operating at 240 frames per second, Samsung’s panels deliver a more lifelike picture with alternating left and right eye images through the use of 3D Active Glasses technology.
Samsung has reduced the response time of its LCD and LED panels by 20 percent to less than four milliseconds, eliminating any interference between left and right eye images. With this improved response time, Samsung is able to achieve natural 3D images and also deliver 2D pictures capturing rapid movement with exceptional clarity.
Samsung’s new 3D Active Glasses technology first blocks the left and then right lens, causing a momentary lag when images are shown to each eye to achieve more lifelike 3D images. The term, ‘3D Active Glasses,’ was selected as an official term by the Glasses Standardization Working Group of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) earlier this year.
The polarized glass method previously used in 3D glasses produced separate images for the left and right eyes, resulting in half the resolution of two-dimensional pictures as only half of the screen can be viewed through each polarized filter. Brightness was also lowered because of the polarized filter.
According to a market research firm, DisplaySearch, the 3D display market is expected to grow from $902 million in 2008 to $22 billion in 2018. The 3D TV market is expected to expand to a $17-billion market, with sales increasing from 200,000 units in 2009 to 64 million units in 2018.”

While some companies break the barrier of 1 GHz mobile phone processors exceed 4.5-inch diagonal screen, Samsung returns to the public with good news. The company announced today the HTC Smart model, which you can admire below a mass of publicly available telephone.

The terminal will significantly reduce the cost, relying on the Brew platform, those from Qualcomm, instead of Android and Windows Mobile. Among its specifications include a 300 MHz processor, 256 MB ROM, 256 MB RAM, a TFT LCD display touch 2.8 inch QVGA resolution and connectivity with HSDPA / WCDMA.

Smart’s facilities includes quad band GSM / GPRS / EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a 3 megapixel camera with fixed focus and flash, plus a 1100 mAh battery and a microSD card slot.
