In order to stay in good health, we need to maintain our bodies well feed, rested and hydrated. If everyone knows that food and rest can sometimes be dismissed, without drinking lots of liquids our body will dehydrate and start acting in many different and unpleasant ways.

In order to prevent that, during one day we should drink lots of fluids (water, juice, coffee) that will keep us moving and give us a buzz of energy. But what is actually annoying when you are trying to have a cup of coffee, tea or anything that is hot, is that you always risk to burn your tongue. Unfortunately, this happens to me a lot, especially when I go out and order hot drinks, and the waiter forgets to tell me how hot my beverage is. But I can’t put the blame only on the waiters, since I usually end up mixing cups at my office.

A solution to my problem is the absolutely amazing gadget Hot and Cold Mug. Many of you might not think of it as a very complex device, but if you look back and remember the days when our ancestors hunted with wooden tools and drank water directly from rivers, I think we’ve come a long way. If you are wondering about the way in which this wonderful gadget works, find out that it changes its color according to the drink you put inside. If you decide to have a cup of water (I presume that you all drink your water cool and not boiled) the color of the Hot and Cold Mug will turn into a deep blue color having the word “cold” written in white font, on one side. When you’ve decided that you drank enough water and want to change to hot coffee, the color of the mug will turn into white with the word “hot” displayed in red letters.

Pretty awesome, right? The Hot and Cold Mug is actually an innovative product since it helps you keep track of your drinks (which is hot and which is cold) and prevents your tongue from getting burnt. In addition to this, you have the advantage of having a very fashionable mug, that changes its color from blue to white, and has the duo-like appearance when the transformation from one state to the other begins.

And, you can use it as an excuse to take another brake. You have to go for a refill since your mug has turned blue and thus indicating that your drink is cold. And we all know that a visit to the “coffee” room is a great way of catching up and meeting again with the hot guy/girl from the third floor.

The only down side to this mug is its price, which will be considered a bit exaggerate for a mug (around $25), but I believe is worth every penny of it. You can start by buying one for your house, just to test it, and then convince yourself if a mug like this deserves all the trouble.

As a conclusion, the Hot and Cold Mug will impress everyone with its charm and dual appearance, not to mention that it will prove its usefulness in the toughest moments of the morning.

Those smartphone enthusiasts who were hoping to get their hands on the impending 4G Sensation from mobile manufacturers HTC may have to wait a little bit longer than first thought…

The news comes as mobile provider T-Mobile have just recently announced the release date for HTC’s latest offering, which comes after that which was initially rumoured. This latest information comes as a minor setback to all those HTC fans, who were keen to try out the latest gadget from the increasingly-popular manufacturer.

A brief glance at the HTC Sensation 4G’s specifications quickly reveals why there are so many smartphone enthusiasts who are eager to get a hold of the device; it comes well-stocked with an impressive list of the latest features, including, a HD display (960×540), a nippy dual-core processor and a 4G connection – a list of specs that many say give it the potential to become one of HTC’s new flagship smartphones.

The mobile phone has been gathering a great deal of attention since it was announced in April; much of the attention comes from smartphone users with a greater-than-normal interest in its potential audio-visual capabilities.The HTC Sensation is going to be released with services (HTC Watch and T-Mobile TV), that will grant users access to the latest films and television, all of which can be enjoyed on its huge 4.3-inch Super-LCD touchscreen.

The due date for the HTC Sensation 4G is June 15th; from that point onwards it will be available in all of T-Mobile high-street stores, as well as from their website/online shop.

A PaperPhone is… an iPhone so flexible, that you’d think you are holding paper in your hands. The creator of this contraption, Roel Vertegaal, the Director of Queen’s University Human Media Lab thinks this will replace all phones in the next 5-10 years.

This ultraportable PaperPhone prototype performs all actions of the smartphone (you can record books, listen to music, make calls etc). Featuring a 9.5 cm diagonal thin film flexible display, this sounds like the start of a paperless world (save the trees!).

To be unveiled on May 10 at the Computer Human Interaction 2011 conference in Vancouver.

With the already known 3.5 inch 640 x 360 AMOLED display, 12-megapixel camera, Xenon flash, HDMI ourput, WCDMA/HSPA, USB-on-the-Go support, Bluetooth 3.0,a FM transmitter, 720p video recording and by adding the pink exterior, Nokia expects its latest addition to be one of the best cameraphones to be released in 2011.

I would say that it’s pretty odd. The concept below is equipped with a 14 ” AMOLED screen type and external panel was removed. It can see things that crawl behind the screen. We can not currently talk about the practical side of this technology.

Information on screen should be easily visible at any time and do not know how much help a semi-transparent display. On the other hand, many will be impressed by such a toy and respect of others is a great value for some users.

The price will probably be obscene; the laptop will be an exclusive product, as Sony VAIO X. I wanted to ask the people at Nokia that the occurrence of an AMOLED display for portable could mean that OLED technology will be included soon in office monitors. Or on the thin TVs at home.

CES 2010 – Inbrics presents a MID Android with AMOLED display

Inbrics is present on the CES 2010 show in Las Vegas with his MID 1, an impressive Android terminal, equipped with AMOLED touchscreen display as shown in the picture below.

Terminal screen slides to reveal a QWERTY keyboard and the casing lies an ARM Cortex A8 processor, while the MID’s 1 list of specifications includes WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G/WiMAX. The internal memory is of 16 GB plus microSD slot provided. In the back of the handset is a 3 megapixel camera, while video callings will be made using front VGA camera.

The product of the Inbrics will function as a media controller, allowing you to link home phones with your PC, DVR and HDTV sites and to view content on them with help. A brief overview of this incredible AMOLED display terminal, WiMAX and VoIP support can be seen in the video below:
