After a long wait and numerous rumors and speculation, Google has finally released a mobile phone under its own branding, Nexus One. The handset was officially introduced yesterday in the U.S., in a press conference and must know that this model is manufactured by HTC.

The terminal can be purchased through an online store from Google, available at this address, but the offer is valid only for U.S. residents. The phone is not only a premiere by the fact that search engine giant gate branding, but also by attractive design (which remember of the Motorola Droid) and impressive specifications.

In the front we find a display of 3.7 inch AMOLED WVGA touch with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and the case is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor, running Android 2.1 (Eclair). One Nexus weighs 130 grams and has a thickness of 11.5 mm, its list of amenities including a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and geotagging, 512 MB flash memory, 512 MB RAM, SD card slot, audio jack 3.5 mm, a 1400 mAh battery and a trackball.

The handset offers access to Android Market application store, supports Google Earth, email (with Exchange support), and its interface is based on Widgets and highly customizable Home screens. One Nexus costs 529 dollars to free or 179 dollars with a 2 years subscription network operator T-Mobile USA. Apparently, Vodafone is expected to bring the first Google phone in Europe.
