Some doctors figured out how to upgrade inhalers for asthmatics by adding GPS system. It’s a good day when we learn that technology we use all the time for personal activities can be applied in medicine.
Asthma is triggered by various events and the first thing people need to do is figure out the source. A company called Asthmapolis has found a way to do that, by attaching a GPS system to the inhaler. Therefore, when you activate the inhaler, the GPS traces your current location and establishes a statistical report, by comparing your position with the thousands of other people’s, and seeing any similarities. Triggers can be detected and prevented.
